Background
The Scottish Garelochhead Marches is a Tri-Service military event for units wishing to qualify for the Nijmegen 4 Day International Marches. It will consist of two days of road marching at 40km per day. Military teams participating in the event can use the Scottish Garelochhead Marches as their qualifying march for the 2011 Nijmegen 4 Day March in July.
When will it take place this year?
The SGM-11 will take place on the weekend of the 30th April and 1st May 2011.
Where is Garelochhead?
The marches will take place in and around Garelochhead on the West Coast of Scotland. An area famed for its natural beauty and close to the scenic tourist destination of Loch Lomond. Directions on how to get there and the area itself will be sent out with your joining instructions. We've provided a map of the area below.
